The month of May has now passed into our Lodge history as one of great significance, pride, and unforgettable memories. From the fellowship shared in Indianapolis during the Annual Communication of the Grand Lodge of Indiana to the historic installation of our own Brother into the highest office of Indiana Freemasonry, it was a time that reminded us of the strength, unity, and enduring spirit of our Craft.
The Annual Communication, held on May 19th and 20th, brought together Brethren from every corner of Indiana to conduct the important business of the Grand Lodge, renew fraternal bonds, and celebrate the continued growth of Masonry throughout our state. The spirit of brotherhood was evident throughout the gathering as old friendships were renewed and new memories were made.
For Porter Lodge No. 137, however, this year’s Annual Communication carried an even deeper meaning. It was with immense pride and admiration that we witnessed the installation of Most Worshipful Brother John A. Bridegroom as the Grand Master of Masons in Indiana. To see a Brother from our own Lodge elevated to this distinguished office is both a tremendous honor and a historic milestone for our Lodge.
Most Worshipful Brother Bridegroom’s dedication, leadership, and faithful service to Freemasonry have long been evident to all who know him. His installation as Grand Master reflects not only his personal commitment to the Craft, but also the values and traditions that Porter Lodge No. 137 strives to uphold. We look forward with confidence and excitement as he begins his tenure leading Indiana Freemasonry into the future.
The installation of the Grand Officers and the celebrations surrounding the Annual Communication made this year’s gathering in Indianapolis truly memorable. It was a reminder that our Fraternity continues to thrive through the devotion of Brothers who willingly give their time, wisdom, and service for the good of Masonry.
As we move into June, may we carry forward the inspiration of these historic events into our own labors and daily lives. Let us continue strengthening the bonds of brotherhood within our Lodge, supporting one another in fellowship, and working together for the betterment of our Craft and our communities.
May the Great Architect continue to bless Porter Lodge No. 137, the Grand Lodge of Indiana, and all our Brethren throughout the year ahead.
